STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE BOWL

Whether fuelling post-workout or looking for something sweet and refreshing to kickstart your day, it's hard to go past a simple, classic smoothie bowl. Packed with juicy strawberries, creamy banana, and a splash of your yoghurt, this recipe is blended to create thick, spoonable perfection, ready to be topped with all the crunchy, fruity goodness your heart desires.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (140g) frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup (60g) coconut water
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1 serving Greek fat-free yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened toasted coconut flakes
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 1 cup (152g) strawberries (halved)
Serves 1

 

Method:

  1. Blend the Base: In a high-speed blender, combine the strawberries, frozen mango, coconut water, protein powder, and Greek yogurt (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy. If it's too thick, add a bit more coconut water to reach your desired consistency. 
  2. Pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl. 
  3. Arrange your toppings on the smoothie bowl. For an extra touch of sweetness, drizzle with honey or maple syrup. 
  4. Serve immediately while cold and refreshing!
